Zomitel's device handling practices are designed to align with India's E-Waste (Management) Rules and applicable state regulations. We work only with authorised recyclers and refurbishment partners for any device that cannot be resold or reused.
Most devices we purchase are refurbished and given a second life. Devices that are beyond economical repair, or that fail safety checks, are routed to certified e-waste recyclers rather than being landfilled or informally discarded.
Every device goes through a certified data-erasure process after purchase and before it's refurbished or recycled, removing personal data, accounts, and files beyond recovery. This happens regardless of whether the device is ultimately resold, reused for parts, or recycled.
We work exclusively with authorised e-waste recyclers for end-of-life devices, avoiding informal recycling channels that can release hazardous materials into the environment.
